Tasty Fermented Apple Cider Vinegar Drink
You have likely heard about the health benefits of drinking Apple Cider Vinegar and the popular beverage, Kombucha. Both beverages have all the benefits of fermented foods, such as: improving immune function, lowering blood pressure and bad cholesterol, easing the pain of rheumatoid arthritis, promoting strong bones and teeth and helping with weight loss.
They are also both packed with vitamins, minerals and contain the essential good bacteria which aid in healthy digestion. Increasing healthy gut bacteria helps to fight candida and has been found to improve mood, mental clarity and even help ease fibromyalgia.
My difficulty has been with the daily cost of buying kombucha drinks and some brands add flavorings and additional sugar. All the while, a bottle of raw unfiltered organic Apple Cider Vinegar is similarly priced as a couple of days of Kombucha and lasts for weeks. The only problem is making ACV palatable…
As there are many benefits of both fermented beverages, and they both feature different healthy gut bacteria, why not alternate Kombucha and ACV to take in all the health benefits?
To save some money on the days you drink ACV, try this recipe with no added sugar, which is refreshing and delicious! Even people who aren’t fond of vinegar flavor and children I have given this drink to, have found this super-simple recipe delicious.
