Recipe: Homemade Silver First Aid Spray to Boost Cut and Wound Healing
It’s well-established in the medical community that bacteria can help heal wounds. Nano silver as an oral supplement can help, too (it’s available from our online store). When applied topically in a homemade silver first aid spray, silver is even used as a natural way to support the body’s natural healing process and speed up recovery and healing!
“Nanosilver is made up of extremely small particles of silver, with lengths of 1–100 nm in at least one dimension,” explains research published by the National Library of Medicine. “Commercially, it is often named colloidal silver or silver nanoparticles. Nanosilver is well recognized to have antimicrobial, antifungal, and antiviral properties, and for these reasons it is widely used today in many consumer products such as food packaging, sports clothing, electronics, cosmetics, medical devices, and bandages. Nanosilver is used as an effective treatment against both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria.”
That makes it a great ingredient for a homemade silver first aid spray to naturally clean and protect your cuts and injuries without upsetting your natural bacteria microbiome.
How to Make Homemade Silver First Aid Spray
1 cup of distilled water
1 tablespoon of nano silver
Clean spray bottle (preferably glass)
Instructions:
Start by sterilizing the spray bottle. You can do this by washing it with warm, soapy water and rinsing it thoroughly. Alternatively, you can sterilize the bottle by filling it with boiling water and allowing it to sit for a few minutes before emptying and drying it completely.
Measure 1 cup of distilled water and pour it into the clean spray bottle.
Add 1 tablespoon of nano silver to the water in the spray bottle. Be sure to use a high-quality, reputable brand of nano silver, such as Health Max Silver Biotics.
Close the spray bottle tightly and shake it well to mix the nano silver with the water.
Your silver first aid spray is now ready to use.
TIP: if you want a more concentrated product, you could use silver without dilution.
How to Use Your Homemade First Aid Spray
Before using the spray, make sure the affected area is clean. You can rinse it with mild soap and water or use a wound-cleaning solution.
Shake the spray bottle well to ensure the nano silver is evenly distributed.
Hold the spray bottle about 6 to 8 inches away from the wound or affected area.
Gently spray a fine mist of the nano silver solution onto the wound or affected area.
Allow the solution to air dry on the skin or wound.
If necessary, cover the area with a sterile bandage or dressing.
Note: always consult a healthcare professional for more serious wounds, infections, or if you have any concerns or allergies.
