Survive (And Thrive) During the 2021 Flu and Cold Season

New cold season, same problem: How to get through the flu and cold season, avoid the worst of the cold symptoms, and keep your immune system strong? Colds, flu, COVID-19 and other viral infection symptoms are very similar. Whatever the respiratory virus, there are some tried and tested ways to fight your way through and even thrive during another round of coughing, sneezing, and runny noses.

Are you ready for the 2021 Flu and Cold Season?

The cold season has been plaguing humans for centuries. “A virus that causes cold-like symptoms in humans originated in birds and may have crossed the species barrier around 200 years ago,” reports the Society for General Microbiology.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t arm up your immune system!

How to Have a Healthier Flu and Cold Season in 2021

1. Supplements, Supplements, Supplements

Now is not the time to let your guard down. Stock up on your traditional flu and cold season standbys, including:

  • Vitamin C
  • Zinc
  • Echinacea

These work well with the ultimate secret weapon against the cold: BioPro Plus-500. BioPro-Plus 500 is a unique combination of five thymic proteins which are bioidentical to the proteins that your body naturally creates. It is the job of these proteins to train the body’s immune system to effectively seek and identify diseased cells. Without these proteins, the “seeker cells” part of our immune systems remain untrained and cannot identify infected cells for destruction by the “killer cells”.

2. Run Away From the Cold (Literally)

It’s been backed by research over and over again: Regular exercise activates your immune system. You’ll be stronger for it, literally, and you’ll also help to resist the cold virus and flu virus. Exercise is powerful because it:

  • Helps circulate your immune system
  • Helps flush out viruses and bacteria from your lungs
  • Helps raise your body temperature, which naturally helps to kill some viruses

3. Eat More Plants

The standard American diet (SAD diet), focused on processed foods and sugar, has long been shown to compromise our immune system strength. Yet according to the MD Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas, a plant-based diet could have profound impacts on your immune system.

“Plants give your body what it needs to help fight off infection,” says Dr. Andrea Murray, MD, at the center. “A plant-based diet strengthens your immune system to protect you against germs and microorganisms.”

Even if you’re not ready to embrace a plant-based lifestyle, eating more veggies with each meal or experimenting with going plant-based for a full day (e.g., No-Meat Mondays) can help bolster your immunity as we enter this current flu and cold season.
